Hon Kho Island, also called Hon Kho Isle, is one of 32 islands situated near the coast of BinhDinh Province. The isle belongs to Hai Dong village, Nhon Hai commune, about 16km to the east of Quy Nhon city center.
This island is a relatively new tourist destination for many tourists. Come to Hon Kho, there will be 2 most interesting experience that tourists should not miss are snorkeling and conquering some rocky mountains on the island.
To reach the Hon Kho, visitors can run the motorbike or car on Thi Nai Bridge, crossing the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, along the Mai Huong Bay and then continue driving through a mountain pass to fishing villages in Nhon Hai commune.
The island haspristine scenery of the rocky ledges protruding into the sea and smooth and charming sandy beaches. On the island, there are just a few people living and fishing in small village.
Here, visitors can rent boats for 5 – 10 people with the rate of US$10 – 15 to the island. You can also make a visit around the island, snorkeling and sea bathing if you can afford a higher fear. It may take 10 to 15 minutes to reach Hon Kho Island from the port in Hai Nhon commune.
In the billowy season, the waves chop into the island creating an astonishing setting like magical sea flowers floating on the ocean. In quiet season, Hon Kho enchants tourists with white sand beaches, colorful coral reefs, velvety grass field and fresh water flowing out from the cliffs.
The best time to travel to Hon Kho Island is from March to September.
